Paper for printing
The Saint Petersburg Paper Mill – Branch of Goznak produces various kinds of paper for printing: branded paper with watermarks; map and stamp paper gummed with synthetic glue; chalk-covered paper gummed with synthetic glue for printing postage stamps; self-adhesive paper; paper for writing and printing in Braille script etc.
Branded paper with watermarks – “Piramida”, “Reshetka”, “Bordure”, “Snezhinka”, “Riabinka”, “Landysh”, “Romashka”, “Verge” – is designed for offset printing of forms of various documents.
It suits the purposes of producing business correspondence, letter headed paper, addresses, invitations, menus etc. perfectly.
The paper is designed for offset printing, using laser and inkjet printing devices as well as for copying.
It is produced on bobbins and in sheets of A4, A3 and other sizes as agreed with the customers, with the weight of 70 – 120 g/m2, white or toned.
Paper with watermarks
The map paper is designed for offset printing of sea, topographical, geographical and other kinds of maps and atlases. It has high wet strength and wear resistance.
The paper quality enables accurate reproduction of the map finest details. The Paper Mill produces two kinds of map paper, each with its own designation:
- Map paper of “A” type for printing sea, geographical maps, navigational instructions and guides, fundamental atlases of long use. It is produced with the weight of from 100 g/m² up to 160 g/m².
- Map paper of “B” type for printing topographical maps and globe segments. The paper is produced in webs of different sizes as agreed with the customers. The webs have diameters of 850 – 950 mm. The production of map paper in sheets is also possible. The paper is produced of 100% bleached pulp with the weight of from 85 g/m² up to 140 g/m².
Stamp paper gummed with synthetic glue is designed for offset printing.
The paper is produced with the application of synthetic glue to the top side of the paper web.
The paper is designed for printing standard postage stamps, tax and trade-union stamps, as well as stamps of special editions. It is produced in sheets and in bobbins.
The sheet width and the bobbin width are agreed with the consumers taking into account the maximal usage of the papermaking equipment width.
The chalk coated paper gummed with synthetic glue for printing postage stamps is designed for offset, screen intaglio, relief printing, various kinds of embossing, including hot foil printing, as well as varnishing with waterborne and UV varnishes.
The paper is produced with the application of a chalk layer to one side of the paper web and synthetic glue to the other side of the paper web.
Depending on designation and printing method this kind of paper is produced in sheets and on bobbins. The paper sizes are agreed with the customers.
