The Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-witted Team of the Saint-Petersburg Paper Mill of Goznak won the second place in the final competition of the municipal “Weekend League”!
“Znak Go” team of the Saint-Petersburg Paper Mill of Goznak won silver in a stiff competition and became number 2.
Our team competed with “Formula Tepla” (GUP “TEK”), “Bolty Mazutnye” (Oktyabrskaya Railway), “NefteBurg” (“Gazpromneft”), GranitUra (“Granit-Electron” Consolidated Group) and the team of Saint-Petersburg Vodokanal.
The teams competed for the title of the most cheerful and sharp-witted in four competitions: Welcoming, Slide-Warming up, Biathlon and Musical competition…
The jury noted, “You can’t earn all the money – believe us, we know how much money we produce” by the team of the Saint-Petersburg Paper Mill of Goznak as one of the best jokes.
“Formula Tepla” team managed to receive the maximal number of 16 points in all the four competitions and the title of the Champion of Saint-Petersburg of 2015. Goznak’s team received only 1 point less and were the second, to a great disappointment of fans who had supported the team actively throughout the game. The team of Vodokanal, a very strong team, received 14 points and occupied the third position.
“We put all our strength to the final game, and before that we had rehearsed every day till 10 p.m.”, said Alexey Klochko, an economist of the Agreement Department, one of participants of “Znak GO” team. “The rehearsals were the most difficult part. The game was very emotional, and time flew unnoticeably. The game level of all was very high, and both we and the audience really enjoyed it”.
85 workers of Goznak, their friends and family members came to support the team.
“Our fans occupied a whole separate sector. Alexander Balunov, Director of the Paper Mill, who had not missed a single game, was among them”.
Of course, we would have liked to win the first position. But the guys of TEK’s team played excellently, and we are happy for them. And we are happy with our victory in the final competition and the second position. Everything was so great that there’s no place for disappointment”.
“We work with supervisors Mikhail and Olga. They are professionals in the field of jokes – they work upon our ideas, write jokes for each of us and help to put our acts on the stage”, said Anastasia Surina, a member of the team and a marketing specialist of the Saint-Petersburg Paper Mill. “The editor and the supervisors say that “Znak Go” team works wonders on stage. They can be relaxed at rehearsals, but they pull themselves together and in front of the spectators. The Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-witted enthralls. Though sometimes before the game your nerves give way, and you would like to refuse to participate and give up after the performance. But these thoughts disappear when you’re on the stage and you hear applauds, laughter, words of thanks and the jury’s appraisal.
Goznak’s team prepare very seriously to the games. About a fortnight before the competition, the number of rehearsals grows to four times a week. And each of them is not less than three hours long. A small sports hall equipped with large mirrors is provided for the rehearsals at the Paper Mill.
Participation in the Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-witted changes one’s attitude to many things. The folks look at situations happening in their lives via the prism of the game – can this be added to the script, will it turn out to be a good joke? They take a direct part in scriptwriting – they offer their ideas, development variants and the presentation technique, they correct the script…
“Every joke passes a few censor stages, where among others there is a very simple question, “Will we be ashamed to look into the eyes of our colleagues and management afterwards?” At the rehearsals, we learn to present jokes in such a way that they would be really funny, to keep pauses and attention of the audience professionally. We now watch the professional Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-witted on TV is a different way – we know how much time, energy and emotions it took to have enough time to be liked by the audience and the jury and make them laugh in five minutes on the stage.
Participation in the Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-witted has brought a lot of positive emotions into the lives of the team participants.
“We have great relations in the team. It’s so wonderful when you have alive relationship with like-minded persons”, Alexey said. “And we associate with the other teams apart from the games too”.
“Humor is a very subjective thing”, “Znak Go” team members shared their impressions. “Sometimes it happens that the reaction of the audience and the opinion of the jury do not coincide at all. Our friends who supported us do not agree with the jury. Sometimes the audience react better, but that is understandable – all of them are relatives and friends of the team members. Of course, we’ve done everything possible and a little bit of impossible for the victory. We performed very decently. Today we are the second, and that means we’ve got a goal to become the first in the “Weekend League – 2016”!”
